Set for online release exclusively through the game's digital storefront, Barnacle Bay is a tropical getaway for sims, populated by pirates, fishermen, and other colorful sorts well suited to the island's beaches, bars, and other lush scenery. Little has been revealed about the add-on, but EA has said the island has a number of secrets for players to discover, as well as exclusive in-game items for completionists.

The Sims 3: Barnacle Bay is scheduled for a fall release. For more on the original title, check out GameSpot's review.
