Headfirst Productions has announced that Simon the Sorcerer 3D, its latest adventure game, will be released later this month. The game has been stuck in a publishing limbo since it was declared complete by the developer more than a year ago.

Simon the Sorcerer 3D is the next installment in Headfirst's Simon the Sorcerer adventure game series, which began in 1993. Players will once again assume control of Simon, a young man who gets transported to an alternate dimension. The game combines the classic adventure game elements of character interaction, story, and puzzle solving. We've posted some screenshots in the gallery above that show off some of the game's characters and environments.

Simon the Sorcerer 3D will be available on April 19, 2002, from the Adventure Soft Web site. For more information, visit the official Simon the Sorcerer 3D Web site.
