Along with its announcement of the upcoming naval combat game Destroyer Command, Ubi Soft announced its next submarine simulation, Silent Hunter II. The games are designed to work together in multiplayer mode, so players of Silent Hunter II will be able to play head-to-head against players of Destroyer Command. The game will also include a single-player mode based on historical campaigns from World War II. It will feature realistic models of ships, aircraft, and submarines, and it will include accurate ship motion, weapons systems, and weather effects.

Silent Hunter II will be published by Ubi Soft's SSI brand, and it is scheduled for release this fall. We'll have more information about the game later this year.
