Sierra announced today that a new open beta test for Zeus will start tomorrow, August 12. The 350 testers will be chosen from applicants who sign up on this EBWorld page. Zeus' developer, Impressions Games, says it is looking for a wide variety of expert and novice gamers, and that selection for the 350 openings will be determined by applicants' system specs, experience with similar games, and ability to clearly report suggestions.

Zeus is the latest title in Impressions' popular series of city-building games, which includes Caesar III and Pharaoh. Instead of letting players build their cities in Roman or Egyptian times, however, Zeus puts them in charge of managing a Greek city-state, complete with Olympic gods and legendary heroes. Zeus is set to ship late this year. For more information on the game, read our preview linked to the right.
