Dynamix, a longtime member of Sierra, is getting set to release Pro Pilot 2000 later this year and announced Wednesday that two different editions of the game will ship in the same box.

Pro Pilot 2000 will include the general aviation edition and a professional edition, plus new sections and training for private student pilots, new aircraft and scenery (seven aircraft, 37 metropolitan areas, 4,300 airports, and 38 million elevation points of terrain), and video instruction.

"The Pro Pilot 2000 team is dedicated to promoting interest in general aviation by creating a comprehensive simulation that allows users at any skill level to adjust the simulation to their specific needs," said Mark Pechnick, designer of the Pro Pilot series. "By providing every component of general aviation in one box, a user with zero flying experience can step into the cockpit of a Cessna 172R and fly over many landmarks or destinations such as the Grand Canyon, Eiffel Tower or their hometown. By including a professional edition, advanced user can practice everything from an ILS approach with dense fog or flying by instruments in adverse weather conditions."

Sierra also announced Wednesday that it is sponsoring the Professional Bull Riders Inc. 1999 Bud Light Cup Tour season, featuring professional bull riders such as Ty Murray and Tuff Hedeman. Sierra Sports logos (a specialized gold star) will be featured on clothes and on the sidelines during the events, and Sierra will have a Professional Bull Rider Interactive Booth at many events.

"Sierra Sports has made a significant commitment to the category of rodeo. Our first PC game release, Professional Bull Rider, will show fans just how committed we are to delivering quality games to a large and growing audience," said Sean Gleason, director of marketing. "Our sponsorship of Casey and Donnie Ray gives us the opportunity to show fans from week to week that we intend to be an integral part of the sport."
