Sierra Sports announced that it would be shipping NASCAR Racing - 1999 Edition this October. Developed by the award-winning racing team at Papyrus, known for CART Racing and NASCAR Racing titles, NASCAR Racing - 1999 Edition will feature NASCAR's top three racing teams (including the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series).

"There is nothing else out there that delivers as realistic an experience as NASCAR Racing - 1999 Edition," said NASCAR Winston Cup driver Bobby Labonte. "I recommend this simulation to fans who want to get the closest to the real thing."

New to the video game racing circuit, NASCAR Craftsman Truck racing gives racers a new experience with more front drag, less down force, and less horsepower than they're used to with NASCAR vehicles.

The title will include 34 tracks, 12 of which have never been used in previous simulations, including Las Vegas, Homestead, and Heartland Park Topeka.

Features for the game include support for both 3Dfx and Rendition 3D support. As NASCAR Racing users have come to expect, NASCAR Racing allows racers to make pit stops to customize their cars and trucks. Gamers looking for head-to-head competition can go online to race at Sierra Sports' NASCAR Racing Online. New additions to the series include updated cars and tracks from the 1998 NASCAR Winston Cup and Busch Grand National Series.

NASCAR Racing - 1999 Edition will sell for US$49.95 for DOS and Windows 95/98. If you already own any other Sierra Sports NASCAR title, you can get a $20 rebate on NASCAR Racing - 1999 Edition.

The complete list of the tracks included in NASCAR Racing - 1999 Edition is as follows:

Tracks from the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series: Evergreen Speedway, Flemington Speedway, Heartland Park Topeka I-70, Las Vegas Motor Speedway, Louisville Motor Speedway, Memphis Motorsports Park, Metro Dade/Homestead, Mesa Marin Raceway, Pikes Peak International Raceway, and Portland Speedway.
