Sierra cuts Warrior Kings

The publisher cuts funding for the 3D real-time strategy game from Black Cactus.

Comments

Sierra and its parent company, Vivendi Universal Interactive Publishing, have announced that they will no longer publish Black Cactus' upcoming 3D real-time strategy game Warrior Kings. According to an official statement, the company has decided to cease financing the game due to new development dates that suggest the game would not fit into the 2001 release schedule. While this would imply that the game has fallen behind schedule, Eurogamer is reporting that French publisher Microids has announced that it will publish the game this November.
