Simutronics is going after some big money - US$10 million in fact.

"We have never sought outside funds before," the company's Neil Harris says. "We've always used the money generated by our games to fund our growth. But now, we think online games are set to take off in the near term. We are already one of the leaders in the online gaming field. And we are now in active discussions with venture capitalists, seeking money to help fund our growth."

Simutronics unveils its plans to foster future growth as part of a presentation detailing the company's 10 years in the online gaming business at the Red Herring Magazine's Venture Market East conference. Simutronics oversees the multiplayer games Gemstone, Dragonrealms, Cyberstrike, and Modus Operandi, which migrated from America Online to the Internet this past summer.
