Shining Force III Revealed

Screens of Sega's next big RPG have surfaced in Japan.

Comments

Earlier in the week we reported that Shining Force III had been announced by Sega in Japan. Yesterday, screens of the game were posted on the Japanese gaming site Teleparc Geisen, revealing even more details on how the game will look.

From the screens that we've seen, the game looks like it will be made up of 3-D polygonal environments with sprite-based characters. There will also be CG-rendered sequences a la Final Fantasy VII.

The game is being jointly developed by Sega and Camelot (the team that was responsible for Beyond the Beyond on the PlayStation).

Shining Force III will be released on the Saturn in three parts, or scenarios, the first of which will be released in December. The second and third portions of the game will follow in the spring and summer of next year.
