Shin Megami Tensei: Nocturne ships

Players looking for darker, more-mature role-playing games take note: Atlus USA announced today that Shin Megami Tensei: Nocturne has shipped to stores. The first title in the long-running Japanese RPG series to be released in the US, Shin Megami Tensei is rated "M" due to its dark, demonic storyline.

When the rating was announced, an Atlus representative said that Nocturne was "definitely not for people with delicate sensibilities."

Nocturne's story is set in a postapocalyptic Tokyo and stars a young man who has turned into a demon. He must recruit more than 150 different demons to join his party, and then mutate and customize them to suit his needs. Dante, the demon hunter from Capcom's Devil May Cry series, makes a special guest appearance.

Shin Megami Tensei: Nocturne includes a limited-edition soundtrack CD in the package and has an MSRP of $49.99. For more information, check out GameSpot's review.
