She-Hulk Might Be A More Central MCU Character Than You Expect

She-Hulk may figure significantly into the MCU's future--or Mark Ruffalo might be speaking too soon.

In his time with the MCU, there seem to be two things we can say for sure about Mark Ruffalo: he likes playing the Hulk, and he often opens his mouth when he shouldn't when it comes to Marvel Studios secrets. Now, Ruffalo is hinting that his character's cousin She-Hulk might figure into future Avengers movies, according to The Hollywood Reporter.

While bantering with She-Hulk herself, actor Tatiana Maslany, at the premiere for She-Hulk: Attorney-at-Law, Ruffalo spilled beans that surprised even Maslany herself.

Maslany asked Ruffalo to "give [her] one year" of being the central Hulk, to which Ruffalo replied, "All right, you can have a year. No, she's in now, there's not going to be another Avengers without her."

"What?" Maslany replied, with THR noting that the actor seemed surprised by this information.

"That's what I'm hearing," Ruffalo said.

As an original member of the MCU's Avengers, Ruffalo is one of the longest-working actors at Marvel Studios, so he should have the inside scoop, right? Remember, though, that Ruffalo has a history of speaking out of turn when it comes to secret Marvel stuff; just type "Mark Ruffalo MCU spoilers" into your favorite search engine for ten-minute-long videos on the subject. In other words, Ruffalo might be right, but it's good to take his words about movies that haven't even begun development with the biggest grain of salt you can find.

She-Hulk is set to premiere later this week, on August 18, 2022, on Disney+.
