Shadowman in DOA 2

Shadowman brings his dark, voodoo magic to Tecmo's popular fighter.

Shadowman, the popular voodoo-child of console fame, has recently appeared on Tecmo's Japanese web site. This led to speculation that he would appear in the Japanese Dreamcast version of Dead or Alive 2, which is currently scheduled for release this September. More images of the voodoo warrior surfaced this week, and GameSpot has confirmed that this character will not only show up in the Japanese version, but in the European versions as well.

It is likely that Shadowman will not be a completely new character, but will instead be revealed as a character -costume swap for the already existing character Zack. This inclusion most likely transpired after Acclaim secured the publishing rights for the title in Europe. Whether any other characters will be hidden in the game is unknown at this time, but we'll be sure to keep you posted.
