Shadowloo Showdown 2013 details revealed

Australian competitive gaming organisation ShadowLogic has released details for its annual fighting game tournament, Shadowloo Showdown.

This year's event, Shadowloo Showdown 2013 (SS2k13), will be held at the Flemington Race Center in Melbourne on October 12-13. Tournaments will be hosted for the following games:

- Super Street Fighter IV: Arcade Edition 2012 (Xbox 360)
- Ultimate Marvel vs. Capcom 3 (Xbox 360)
- The King of Fighters XIII (Xbox 360)
- Injustice: Gods Among Us (Xbox 360)
- Tekken Tag Tournament 2 (Sony PS3)
- Virtua Fighter 5 Final Showdown (Xbox 360)
- Super Smash Bros Melee (GameCube/Wii)
- Super Smash Bros Brawl (Nintendo Wii)

A number of special guests have been confirmed to attend, including Hajime "Tokido" Taniguchi, Bruce "GamerBee" Hsiang, and Kun-Xian "Xian" Ho. Xian most recently won the Super Street Fighter IV: Arcade Edition 2012 tournament at the Evolution (EVO) fighting game tournament this year.

Last year, Shadowloo Showdown drew over 400 competitors and reached over 20,000 concurrent viewers on its live stream.

Shadowloo Showdown will also be hosting a fighting game-themed cosplay competition with cash prizes on offer. Fans who are interested in entering the cosplay competition or Shadowloo Showdown 2013 can get more information on the website.
