Sega Reaffirms PC Commitment
Sega appoints a director of sales for its growing PC business.
Reaffirming its commitment to the PC software market, Sega Entertainment Inc. announced Monday that it has appointed Skip McFerran as director of sales. This is the first time Sega has appointed a sales director dedicated to the PC games market.
McFerran was most recently Sega of America's Midwest regional sales director on the console front.
This renewed commitment to the PC market by Sega comes as no surprise. The company has been lining up PC-based technology and software companies for its next entry into the gaming hardware market with the Dural. Alliances with companies like Microsoft and VideoLogic can only strengthen its position in both markets.
