For Azeroth!

The Warcraft movie has been in development for a long time, but at Blizzcon 2015 we got our first look at the film's official trailer. And coinciding with that reveal, Blizzard and Legendary also showed off all the merchandise surrounding the movie. With t-shirts, figurines, and smartphone holders, there's a whole range of merch completely separate from the wide array of goodies normally on sale from Blizzard.

This trailer confirms that this movie is a steaming pile of turd. Art Direction, story and themes that work in a video game don't translate well to Hollywood. The directory needed more creative liberty. Making the orcs and humans look like they do in the RTSes, with cheesy video-game pallet-swap-engineered armor skins was a mistake. The imagery needed to be LoTR-esque in terms of "Darkness". As is, the cut-scenes for WoW are infinitely more interesting than this movie looks. They're choosing the most boring parts of Warcraft Lore to make a movie of. /yawn.

At least Star Wars Episode VII looks bomb lol.

They seem to be betting big on this movie the odds are against them because video game movies are normally flops and I have not seen anything so far that would make this turn out any different.

"For Azeroth!"? No, but for capitalism.

Man, all that swag will make you look bad ass, girls will be tripping over themselves and others to get close to you and all that jazz.

@GreySeven: In a gaming era where publishers are demanding sequels release annually I think we should be applauding Blizzard for their approach to game development, not chastising them for taking their time (as if new content for WoW, Hearthstone, HotS & Diablo 3 and an entirely new game in Overwatch was them somehow resting on their laurels).

Those orcs would need about 12,000 calories/day.

@CatAtomic999: Orcs come from another planet, making them aliens, and we have no idea how alien races handle metabolism.

@DragonessAthena: If it's an organic, than the laws of physics and bio-chemistry dictate that these orcs would need a high calorie count. They are all muscle. They produce tremendous kinetic energy. Energy is neither created or destroyed. Ergo, they get their energy from their food. You can calculate it out. x lbs of muscle mass require z calories for Y duration of activity.

It all looks epic, except for that ugly Alliance shat, they can keep that stuff. Although i would like to have to Lion Head Ring, would help in my imagination of removing it from his dead fingers. I cant believe we had to side with hem at one time in history. Ill have to watch the movie to see how much they suffered from such treaties.
