Activision today released some new images of Game of Thrones actor Kit Harington's motion capture session for his role in Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare.

Harington, who plays Jon Snow in HBO's show, portrays Infinite Warfare antagonist Admiral Salen Kotch. It sounds like Kotch will play a big role in the game's story. "He'll doggedly pursue the player throughout the Infinite Warfare narrative, eventually leading to a dramatic confrontation," Activision said.

The images embedded in this post are from a performance capture stage in London, not at Infinity Ward's offices. The developer traveled to London to accommodate Harington's schedule; he is currently starring in the London stage play Doctor Faustus.

Harington wasn't the only famous person involved with the shoot. Director Guy Ritchie (Snatch, The Man From UNCLE) worked with Infinity Ward to film the Harington scenes; shooting took place over the course of about a week, Activision said.

Infinite Warfare narrative director Taylor Kurosaki spoke with GameSpot recently about Harington's role in the game and what it was like to work with him.

"Kit is portraying a character who is a notable character in the Settlement Defense Front, so he, in many ways, is the face, or one of the main faces, of the enemy," Kurosaki explained. "And through him, you will know what makes them tick, what they're all about, the depths to which they'll go to realize their objective.

"It was great working with him because he had never played a bad guy before. And I think it was the opportunity for him to play that guy was one that he relished. He totally ran with it and he just got into that character and got into that whole mindset of the Settlement Defense Front."

Infinite Warfare launches on November 4 for PS4, Xbox One, and PC. All DLC will come to PS4 first. A new campaign trailer was released last week at E3; you can watch it here.

Activision is also releasing a remastered version of Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare this year, but the only way to get it is to buy one of the premium versions of Infinite Warfare. A multiplayer reveal for Modern Warfare Remastered is scheduled for September.
