Warning: This story will feature Star Wars: The Force Awakens spoilers from the outset.

Of all the amazing moments found in the early trailers for Star Wars: The Force Awakens, the greatest was surely the moment when Han Solo and Chewbacca first appear on the deck of the Millennium Falcon. Behind-the-scenes footage of this scene has now been revealed. It was broadcast as part of an interview with Harrison Ford on Jimmy Kimmel Live!--check it out below:

Ford also took part in a Q&A on EW's Tumblr this week, where he was asked about the much-loved space smuggler's death in The Force Awakens. "I think it's a fitting use of the character," he said. "I've been arguing for Han Solo to die for about 30 years, not because I was tired of him or because he's boring, but his sacrifice for the other characters would lend gravitas and emotional weight."

Last week, it was reported that the casting process for the upcoming young Han Solo movie had narrowed to three actors. THR revealed that the search was in its "final stages," with Alden Ehrenreich (Hail Caesar!), Jack Reynor (Transformers: Age of Extinction), and Taron Egerton (Kingsmen: The Secret Service) named as the frontrunners for the highly sought-after role.

The Han Solo spinoff is to be directed by 21 Jump Street's Phil Lord and Christopher Miller, with a script by Star Wars veteran Lawrence Kasdan and his son Jon. It is set to hit cinemas in May 2018.
