See Destiny 2: Curse Of Osiris DLC's New Public Event

Vexing.

Bungie has revealed more details about the first expansion for Destiny 2, called Curse of Osiris, in a livestream today. Recently, GameSpot got a chance to check out the expansion at Bungie's headquarters. In the video above, you can watch us run through the new Public Event, Vex Crossroads.

The event involves killing a series of Vex in stages, alternating between two tower platforms that are only available while the event is active. We ran through the event twice but were unable to trigger the Heroic version, though we did identify a few points of interest, which you might notice in the video.

The Curse of Osiris expansion takes you to Mercury for the first time (in Destiny 2, anyway) and prominently features Ikora and, as you might expect, Osiris. The DLC will also introduce the first Raid Lair, which looks to be a major part of Destiny 2 moving forward.

We'll be able to talk more about the DLC following Bungie's next livestream on November 29. The first Curse of Osiris stream, which took place on November 15, showed off the Lighthouse space on Mercury and first story details. Curse of Osiris releases for PS4, Xbox One, and PC on December 5. That will coincide with the launch of an update that changes Destiny 2's weekly reset and the Guided Games feature. Additionally, Bungie will release an update that provides PS4 Pro and Xbox One X enhancements for Destiny 2.

I may have noticed the trigger for the Heroic Version.

If you look closely at the Vex Gates on the side towers you'll see slots on either side of it (best seen at 2:54 & 4:43 of the above video). Maybe you're supposed to insert the Arc Charges into those instead of using of putting them in the center. Furthermore, I thought it was odd that the Keeper drops 2 charges, but the plate only needs 1 to deactivate.

@ariosv22: We'll have to try the side slots next, good idea. It is odd that the Keeper drops 2 charges but as soon as someone slams one the other vanish.

this is why destiny wont last if it keeps going this way...sales are way down from the first game, as they should be. What a lazily developed game, devoid of any kind of innovation.

New baddies in D2, they run of the mill cannon fodder from the first mars in D1....ummm k.

No new enemies at all in fact. Nice touch.

Lack of weapons. Sniper as a power weapon...really? how many people use snipers now? Show of hands lol.

Terrible end game content...check.

So much wrong with this game...but of course the typical Activision / Destiny model, release just enough to content to call it DLC and charge an arm and a leg.

This game is a joke lol.

meh

The more articles i see about Destiny 2, the less I am inclined to come back to GamesSpot. Lately I find only one interesting article per week in comparison to PC Gamer's 1 interesting article every 2 days. I suppose it's just an old habit still makes me to visit GameSpot.
