Microsoft's swashbuckling pirate adventure game Sea of Thieves continues to grow. As part of Microsoft's 20th anniversary announcements today, the company revealed that Rare's game has now reached 25 million players. This isn't necessarily copies sold, as the game is on Game Pass, but it is indicative of just how massive and enduringly popular the game continues to be.

Sea of Thieves surpassed 20 million players in March, so the game continues to show healthy growth. Rare has said 2021 was shaping up to be Sea of Thieves' biggest year ever since the game launched in 2018.
