Screens of South Park Rally

The zany world of South Park gets propelled into high gear on the PS and N64.

Acclaim has given us a first look at the Nintendo 64 and PlayStation versions of South Park Rally. The PC version was shown at the recent Electronic Entertainment Expo (E3). Scheduled for a Q4 1999 release, the game will offer Mario Kart-style gameplay coupled with the show's trademark profanity and humor.

Tracks that you can race through include South Park Forest, Big Gay Al's Big Gay Animal Sanctuary, downtown South Park, and more. All tracks sport shortcuts and hidden areas. As for game features, there will be plenty of racing modes and objectives, but the real draw will no doubt be South Park Rally's all-important multiplayer head-to-head and team modes.

Here's a rundown of some of the characters to look for in the game, along with the characters' vehicles. This is only a partial list. (Acclaim has quite a few more planned - some hidden in the game.)

South Park Rally is scheduled to release in time for the 1999 holiday season.
