Scott Pilgrim Vs. The World Remaster Gets Physical PS4 And Switch Editions
Preorders for the physical edition of the remaster go live on January 15.
Indie game distributor Limited Run Games will release physical copies of the remastered version of Scott Pilgrim vs. the World: The Game for Nintendo Switch and PlayStation 4, the company announced on Twitter. Xbox versions of the game will arrive "at a future date."
There are three editions of Scott Pilgrim vs. the World: The Game available through Limited Run Games, with preorders going live for six weeks starting on January 15 at 7 AM PT / 10 AM ET. Alongside the $35 Standard Edition for Nintendo Switch and PlayStation 4, the company will drop two other jam-packed versions: the $55 Classic Edition and $140 K.O. Edition.
The Classic Edition includes the physical game on either platform, full-color instruction booklet, reversible cover, deluxe clamshell case with a separate reversible cover, a sticker sheet, physical CD soundtrack by the chiptune-based pop-rock band Anamanaguchi, a commemorative concert ticket, and an overworld map, all in one slick-looking box.
Meanwhile, the K.O. Edition features the same items as the Classic Edition and then some. This includes a hardcover guide book, CD and cassette of the Anamanaguchi soundtrack, full-size wooden drunk sticks emblazoned with game art, three different gauged guitar picks, a Scott Pilgrim loading screen enamel pin, two sticker sheets, and, of course, the game itself. It comes piled inside a functional stage with working lights and sounds that acts as a collector's case.
Preorders for all three physical editions of the game will close on Sunday, February 28.
Scott Pilgrim vs. the World: The Game is a 2D beat-'em-up based on Bryan Lee O'Malley's graphic novel of the same name. The title originally dropped on Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 in August 2010 before being delisted in December 2014. Ubisoft announced that the beat-'em-up will return during it's September 2020 Ubisoft Forward event, confirming that the game will hit the digital Nintendo Switch, PC, PlayStation 4, Stadia, and Xbox One stores on January 14.
