Scorched Earth Demo Released

Mattel Interactive's SSI label has released a playable demo for its upcoming strategy wargame Panzer General III: Scorched Earth, a follow up to last year's Panzer General 3D Assault. Some of the new features in the game include: a new dynamic strategy map to help players plot their advance towards Berlin or Moscow, four new campaigns, over 100 new units, and a random battle generator. Improved 3D environment effects such as fog, rain, and storms also add realism to the battlefield.

The playable demo is available from GameSpot here. The game has recently gone gold and should be released later this month.
