The first trailer for Lamb has been released. The Scandinavian horror thriller stars Noomi Rapace (Prometheus), and it hits theaters on October 8.

The trailer doesn't give too much away about the plot, but there's no denying it looks extremely creepy. Rapace plays a woman who is running a farm in a remote part of Iceland with her husband. One of their sheep gives birth to a lamb which, the trailer suggests, has some weird human characteristics. The official synopsis states that the couple "face the consequences of defying the will of nature," and it certainly looks like it goes into some extremely dark places. Check it out below:

Lamb also stars Björn Hlynur Haraldsson (The Witcher) and Ingvar Sigurdsson (Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes of Grindelwald). It's the directorial debut of Valdimar Jóhannsson.

Rapace spoke about the movie in 2019, shortly after she signed on to act in it. She told Variety, "A script like this is rare and I directly felt that I had to do it. I've never done anything like this before and I can't wait to start filming and go back to my roots in Iceland."
