When it comes to workhorse tablets, the Windows Surface line is one of the best around. Not only do you get the flexibility of a Windows operating system in a compact form factor, but also laptop-level performance that you can carry around with you. With early Black Friday deals breaking out, you can pick up a terrific deal on the Microsoft Surface Pro 9 tablet, as it has been discounted by over $500.

Normally $1,540, Best Buy is offering a Surface 9 Pro for $1,000. The specs on this model are pretty great, as it has a 256GB SSD, a 13-inch touchscreen, 16GB of RAM, and an Intel Core i5 processor. That makes it ideal for a wide number of applications, from video editing to even dedicated video capture if you're using something like an Elgato device, and it can easily be used as a multimedia station for movies, music, and games.

This is a very good deal for a 2023 tablet, especially when you factor in its excellent battery life, the inclusion of two Thunderbolt 4 USB-C ports, and the option to easily upgrade its storage. The only downside here is that it has no traditional headphone jack, but the exclusion of that port has allowed the tablet to be sleeker and slimmer than ever before. Pair it with a few accessories, and this is an excellent tablet to make use of when you're looking to be productive while on the go.

For more tempting tech deals, check out this big Xbox Series X discount that shaves $50 off the retail price of the console and gives you a $75 voucher to spend in Dell's online store. You can also save big on virtual reality hardware, as Best Buy is offering the 128GB Meta Quest 2 for $249 and the 256GB Meta Quest 2 for $299.
