Savage beta testers wanted

S2 Games announces that it's accepting applications from players interested in beta-testing its upcoming multiplayer first-person action game.

Savage: The Battle for Newerth

S2 Games has today announced that it is accepting applications from players interested in participating in its upcoming Savage beta test. Anyone interested in taking part in the testing, which is scheduled to commence in mid-February, can apply at S2 Games' Savage Web site. It's worth noting, however, that applicants will need access to a PC that meets the following requirements: An Intel or AMD CPU that is at least 700MHz
At least a GeForce1 or Radeon 7000
At least 128MB RAM
Windows 98, ME, 2000, or XP or Linux

Savage is a team-based multiplayer first-person shooter in which one player from each team gets to assume the role of commander. Rather than running around on the battlefield themselves, the commanders can view the whole skirmish from above and issue orders to other players in much the same way as they would when playing a real-time strategy game. Savage will allow up to 64 players to be on a battlefield at any one time and will actively encourage players to fight in squads and follow the orders of their commander rather than trying to take on the enemy single-handedly.
