San Diego Comic-Con 2018 Schedule (Friday): A Guide To The Must-See TV And Movie Panels

Are you ready? San Diego Comic-Con 2018 has arrived, and with it comes the casts and creators behind your favorite TV shows, movies, comic books, video games, and more, as they gather to meet and talk with fans while previewing what's to come. SDCC is underway and comes to a close on Sunday, July 22. The annual celebration of all things nerdy is happening in San Diego and the schedule of events can be intimidating. Luckily for you, GameSpot is here to help you figure out what you should be doing during con.

While there are four days packed with panels, screenings, and other events, this post is going to focus on Friday, the second day of Comic-Con. Still, though it's the start of the event, there's more than enough to do--and the running theme for a lot of Friday is going to be horror.

The day kicks off with back-to-back panels for Fear the Walking Dead and The Walking Dead in Hall H--the biggest room at SDCC. The Walking Dead's return to San Diego comes at an interesting time, given reports that star Andrew Lincoln is leaving the series during the upcoming season. Lincoln is scheduled to be one of the stars on the panel, so chances are this will be a big topic of discussion. Additionally, this will likely be where the first Season 9 trailer arrives.

If that's not scary enough for you, Universal Pictures is bringing both the upcoming M. Night Shyamalan movie Glass and the highly anticipated Halloween sequel, which will see Jamie Lee Curtis return to the franchise. Other notable panels include AMC's Preacher and Hulu's Castle Rock, which is set in the Stephen King universe.
