Koei today announced that the Xbox version of Samurai Warriors has shipped to retailers across North America. The Omega Force-developed tactical action game, which has been available for the PlayStation 2 since May, sees players assuming the role of one of a number of legendary heroes in 16th-century Japan.

"With Samurai Warriors, aspiring warlords can make their bid to unite Feudal Japan. We are truly excited about delivering this powerful experience to Xbox owners across the continent," said Amos Ip, vice president of sales and marketing at Koei Corporation. "The Xbox community can look forward to an incredible adventure with some of the greatest samurai of all time, spectacular battlefields and majestic castles action-packed with the fast and addictive gameplay for which Koei has become known."

Samurai Warriors is rated "T" for teen players and is available in stores now. For more information, check out our full review of the game.
