More Saints Row is on the way, it appears. Actor-comedian Jay Mohr (Pay it Forward, Jerry Maguire) tweeted last night that he was in a sound booth to record voiceover for a new entry in the over-the-top open-world action series.

"About to do my voice over work for new Saints Row video game. #showbiz," he said on Twitter with the image at left. Six characters are shown on a monitor in the background, but we can't make out who they are specifically.

It's not clear if Mohr was recording voice work for Saints Row IV DLC or the next full entry in the series, presumably Saints Row V. We asked publisher Deep Silver, which acquired the Saints Row franchise and developer Volition in January, but the company declined to comment.

Mohr is a self-professed fan of video games. He has performed at BlizzCon and co-hosted the D.I.C.E. awards in past year.

Saints Row IV launched in August 2013 and sold 1 million copies during its first week. Deep Silver parent company Koch Media CEO Klemens Kundratitz labeled the game a critical and commercial success, suggesting a sequel is likely.
