Ruined King: A League of Legends Story, which was expected in early 2021, has been delayed. The game will still debut in 2021, but later in the year than expected, publisher Riot Forge has announced. On the plus side, we got a new look at Ruined King with a trailer at The Game Awards 2020.

The game, a single-player roleplaying title, will feature many League of Legends characters and lore. In an announcement on Twitter, the publisher said that the game needs to be delayed for the same reason many games have been delayed lately--2020 has been hard.

"This year has presented a number of challenges for all of us that have been outside our control," the announcement reads. Because of this, the game will not meet its "early 2021" release goal, and will arrive later next year.

"We're excited for you to experience the fantastic adventure (developer) Airship Syndicate has created with Ruined King, and we want to ensure we support their vision and give you an awesome game," it continues.

To tide us over, a new trailer was released during The Game Awards 2020. You can watch it below.

Ruined King: A League of Legends Story is coming to PC and consoles, including Switch, PS5, Xbox Series X/S, PS4, and Xbox One.
