Rockstar Has More GTA 5 Online Content Planned

It seems like GTA Online is only getting started.

While publisher Rockstar Games is busy ironing out issues affecting Red Dead Redemption 2 on PC, the company has confirmed that it's not done with its other flagship title, 2013's Grand Theft Auto V. GTA Online will continue to receive more content, according to developer Rockstar North.

Rockstar North's co-studio head, Rob Nelson, told PCGamer that more GTA Online content is on the way. "Players should feel confident that we have a ton of brand new ideas still to come," Nelson said. "It's been six years and we just hit record player numbers and we are all incredibly grateful to everyone who’s been with us along the way."

Nelson didn't detail any specific plans for GTA Online's next DLC. However, he said that flexibility keeps the team vigilant and on their toes. "We try to keep plans going roughly a year out, but we want to have the flexibility to be responsive to any changes."

Back in October, Rockstar released a new batch of content for GTA Online. The update included new cars and game modes, among other things. Additionally, the update also allowed players of both GTA Online and Red Dead 2 Online to earn Halloween-themed masks.

Rockstar North recently started hiring for a brand-new project. According to a job listing, the studio is looking for a programmer to assist in building a next-gen open-world character-driven game.

If they had stopped milking this GTA online crap years ago, we would have GTA 6 by now! Greedy pigs.

@DarknessR18:

?! yet while still ""milking this crap"" they brought out red dead redemption 2 so your argument dosnt hold up basically i will re phrase your quote to more in line

""if they stopped production on red dead 2 we would have gta6 by now""

@DarknessR18: i will agree that was a thing , now they go for more detail which takes longer in the long run. yes basically one true next gen game was red dead 2 and the other was a port but rumours are another game is in the works (bully 2) and gta6 in concept stages but the only thing i will agree on -

gta online did kill the single player dlc and red deads dlc but over all isnt stopping production on other tittles - a small team keeps online going , main team works on the new

or maybe thats why we dont get single player dlc anymore putting all resources into the new games. and with 4k being the new buzz word i guess production will take longer then usual for titles. gta online is keeping them afloat during the none releases unfortunately and rockstar like adding pointless details to the games like balls shrinking and checking every pocket for loot and slow walking in camp doing chores

No surprise there.. I just hoped they would add some of that content to single player. I enjoyed the online for a while but i couldn't really stick with it and well.. I like using trainers. Should probably install some mods too but it seems too complicated
