It's a big day for Rock Band 4, as the music game's long-awaited Rivals expansion comes out today. Not only that, but the new, foldable Jaguar Fender guitar made by PDP is also out now.

You can get Rivals as an expansion to Rock Band 4 for $30, while newcomers in search of the game and the Jaguar guitar can pick up a $90 bundle that includes both. If you already have a guitar, but want Rivals, you can pick it up for $60 in a bundle that contains all the songs from the base game and the updates from the past year like the Brutal and Practice modes. A Rivals-themed band kit, containing Rivals, the Jaguar guitar, and a drumset is available now for $200.

Now Playing: Will It Bend? With Josh Harrison! - Rock Band 4

As announced previously, Rock Band 4's Rivals expansion comes with the new Rivals mode, which is an asynchronous mode where multiple players "join up remotely as members of Crews to compete in a stats battle with other Crews around the world." Rivals also comes with what's called "Rockudrama," a new story campaign that "pulls you through a twisting, funny, and sometimes tragic story of your band's history and triumph over adversity."

People who buy Rivals will also get access to other content updates coming out in the future, including synchronous online multiplayer, which arrives this holiday. More character customization options are also on the way.

Unfortunately for Rock Band fans in Europe, they will have to wait a little longer. Physical Rivals bundles have been delayed to November 8, Harmonix announced in a blog post. The developer also confirmed that everyone who buys a digital copy of Rivals between October 18 and November 1 will get bonuses in the form of an extra 10 songs and more Rock Shop items.

Additionally, Harmonix has kicked off a new sale to celebrate the launch of Rivals. Now through October 24, players can save 30 percent on the following track packs:

  • Creedence Clearwater Revival Pack 01 ($14 instead of $20)
  • Foo Fighters Pack 03 ($4.89 instead of $7)
  • My Chemical Romance Pack 01 ($3.84 instead of $5.49)
