Later this month, Rock Band 3 will introduce keyboards to the Harmonix rhythm game series. The developer today announced plans to usher in the addition with style, confirming that the game will launch alongside a dozen downloadable tracks from the keyboard-friendly rock group The Doors.

The tracks--which will be released for the Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, and Wii versions of the game--will be the first downloadable content to take advantage of some of Rock Band 3's biggest features, like the keyboard peripheral and the harmony mechanic introduced in last year's The Beatles: Rock Band. Additionally, three of the tracks--"Light My Fire," "Touch Me," and "Riders on the Storm"--will support the game's new Pro Guitar and Pro Bass modes.

Rock Band 3 will let players tickle not just the ivories, but also the ebonies.

To reward early adopters, those three songs will be available for free through the in-game music store from Rock Band 3's October 26 launch through November 1. The remaining tracks will be sold as a bundle during that stretch. However, starting November 2, all 12 songs will be sold only as individual tracks or in a complete bundle.

For those who don't dig on DLC, Rock Band 3 will feature 83 songs on the disc, including The Doors' own "Break on Through (To the Other Side)." The full on-disc setlist of the game can be found here, while a complete list of the band's downloadable tracks follows below:
