Ritual Entertainment today announced the promotion of SiN Episodes: Emergence lead programmer Ken Harwood to the position of studio director, where he will manage the studio's business relations.

Former Ritual CEO Steve Nix, recently hired by id Software to be that company's director of business development, said in a statement that Harwood always led by example in the five years they worked together.

"The new direction Ritual is taking will be great for the studio. It's something we've talked about for a long time, and now Ritual has a perfect opportunity to reach their goals," Nix said.

A representative of Ritual would not clarify exactly what that "new direction" was, nor what projects the company was currently working on. Ritual's last game was SiN Episodes: Emergence, the first installment in an episodic first-person shooter. The game was released in May, and although Ritual had said it was intending to release future episodes every six months or so, it has yet to detail its plans for the second episode.
