A new update for the PlayStation 4 version of Rise of the Tomb Raider has fixed a problem related to input lag, according to a report from Digital Foundry. Update 1.04 is the update that makes the fix--and it's apparently a dramatic tweak.

"It's revelatory change that greatly improves the game's combat by allowing players to more accurately aim its selection of precision weaponry," the site said.

Some people reported new crashes when 1.04 came out, but Digital Foundry surmises that these issues were related to network problems, not the patch itself.

Additionally, the patch adds "improvements to 4K image quality and frame rate for PS4 Pro," as well as a handful of bug fixes. The PS4 Pro launches on November 10. Rise of the Tomb Raider is not the only game being patched to support the new console--see a roundup of the others here.

Rise of the Tomb Raider's PS4 and PC editions were developed by Nixxes Software, while Crystal Dynamics made the Xbox One and Xbox 360 versions.

According to Digital Foundry, the Xbox One edition of Rise of the Tomb Raider still has some input lag issues, while the Xbox 360 and PC editions do not. Read the full report here.
