Rise of the Tomb Raider seems to have taken some inspiration from Uncharted: The Nathan Drake Collection.

It was recently announced that Rise of the Tomb Raider was making its way to PS4 in a 20 Year Celebration edition that comes with all of the game's DLC, a new chapter, and VR support. It's also coming with new box art that just so happens to look quite a bit like Uncharted: The Nathan Drake Collection's cover.

Naughty Dog creative director Neil Druckmann posted a humorous tweet, pointing out the artistic similarities. Both Lara Croft and Nathan Drake are almost entirely silhouetted a darker shade of the box art's color. Additionally, the games' titles are printed in dark bold letters on top of its respective protagonist.

The similarities are apparent and a little bit funny. With the Tomb Raider and Uncharted franchises already sharing similar themes, it's amusing to see they now also share similar box art. We've contacted Square Enix to ask if it drew inspiration from The Nathan Drake Collection's cover.

Rise of the Tomb Raider: 20 Year Celebration releases for PS4 on October 11. Season pass holders on Xbox One and PC will get all of the new content, except VR support, for free.

In other Tomb Raider-related news, the next movie recently had its release date set. You'll be able to see Oscar-winner Alicia Vikander star as Lara Croft on March 16, 2018.
