Riot Forge--the in-house publishing wing of League of Legends dev Riot Games--has announced its plans for the upcoming year, which include a brand-new RPG from indie developer Digital Sun called The Mageseeker: A League Of Legends Story.

The Mageseeker is a 2D pixel-action-RPG set in Demecia, one of the many kingdoms found in League Of Legends' home world of Runeterra. Players will assume the role of Sylas, one of LoL's many champions and an adept magic user, as he seeks revenge against those who imprisoned him.

Riot Forge also confirmed two previously announced games--Song Of Nunu and Convergence--for release in 2023. Song Of Nunu is a single-player adventure from Rime developer Tequila Works that follows the young Nunu and his yeti friend Willump on a quest to find the boy's mother. Convergence, meanwhile, stars the tech-savvy champion Ekko in a 2D action-platformer with time-control mechanics.

Riot Forge was first created in 2019 with the goal to publish games that "expand the League of Legends universe and allow players to experience League like never before." So far, the label has published the 2021 JRPG Ruined King, which was developed by Battle Chasers: Nightwar dev Airship Syndicate, and the endless runner game Hextech Mayhem.

Convergence and Song of Nunu are slated to launch in 2023--Convergence in Spring and Song of Nunu in Fall--for Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Nintendo Switch and PC. The Mageseeker is also confirmed to launch this year for "consoles and PC," though the consoles it will launch on were not specified.
