Console news this week this week has something for every gamer and lots of suprises. One of the biggest surprises came in an interview conducted by Japanese gaming magazine Dengeki Oh with Capcom's Yoshiki Okamoto and Nintendo's Shigeru Miyamato. Toward the end of the interview Okamoto admitted Capcom is indeed building Resident Evil for the N64. Will it come to US shores? You'll have to wait on that one.

Mac users got a big shocker this week when the emulation masters at Connectix announced that is had developed - and was already selling - copies of a PlayStation emulator called the Virtual Game Station. While it only runs on iMacs and Apple's new G3-based machines, word on the street says a Windows version is on the way.

Rapping is coming back to the PlayStation in Parappa 2 with a name change – Unjammer Lamy. The title will take a twist of sorts though now that the main character will be a female named Lamy and she's a rock fan, not a rap fan like Parappa. We've got a movie and more information if you're interested.

Final Fantasy-inspired titles are on the way for the PlayStation. Square announced a card game like Magic the Gathering called Card Battle, and Final Fantasy Collection will combine Final Fantasy IV, Final Fantasy V, and Final Fantasy VI into one volume.
