Resident Evil 4 has seen many ports, and its latest takes it to the Wii U. Resident Evil 4: Wii Edition will no longer have to be played on the Wii U through the virtual Wii emulator and will instead be put on sale in the eShop.

Nintendo announced the port by posting a trailer on YouTube (via Destructoid). As is the case with other Wii re-releases, it's likely that players will only be able to use the Wii Remote and Nunchuk to control the game. The fourth Resident Evil game is already available in the UK Wii U eShop.

Resident Evil 4: Wii Edition comes to Wii U in North America on February 4. If it's priced similarly to other Wii games on the Wii U eShop, it will be available for $20.

Resident Evil 4 is already available on GameCube, PlayStation 2, PC, Wii, iOS, Android, Zeebo, Xbox 360, and PlayStation 3.

Resident Evil 4 received a score of 9.6 in GameSpot's original review of the horror-filled shooter. The Wii Edition was scored a 9.1 and was dubbed the "definitive version" in the review.
