Resident Evil 0 HD Remaster Screenshots Show Billy Going Commando
Plus, Rebecca gets a Capcom cheerleader outfit.
Resident Evil 0 HD Remaster will launch digitally in Japan on January 21, 2016, Capcom has announced. Along with the release date, the publisher has released new screenshots showing off a cheerleader outfit for Rebecca and a costume for Billy inspired by classic Capcom title Commando.
Outside of Japan, Capcom has only said Resident Evil 0 HD will release as a digital title early next year. The re-release will be available on PC, Xbox One, PS4, Xbox 360, and PS3. It'll also be released as a physical bundle with the remastered version of Resident Evil for PS4 and Xbox One on January 19, 2016.
Unlike the Resident Evil 2 remake, which Capcom has emphasised will be a "from the ground up" rebuilding of the title, Resident Evil 0 HD just touches up the graphics. The differences are noticeable, but not overwhelming. It will also include new features such as improved sound, widescreen support, and the option to use a "modernised" control setup.
In terms of story, the 2002 GameCube title is set before the events of the original Resident Evil, which Capcom also recently remade. The publisher has made re-releases a key pillar of its business, and it's has said it will continue to update classic titles going forward.
