Report: Two Assassin's Creed games coming in 2014, series under "massive re-scope"
One title planned as exclusive to last-gen and the other for Xbox One/PS4, according to new report; Ubisoft says it does not comment on rumor and speculation.

Ubisoft has not one, but two distinct Assassin's Creed console games in development for 2014, according to a new report from Examiner.
One is in development exclusively for now-last-generation systems (presumably Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, and Wii U), while the other one is said to be in development only for new consoles including the Xbox One and PlayStation 4.
The site's source also said the Assassin's Creed franchise is currently undergoing a "massive re-scope," though no other details are available as to what this may mean.
This information is, of course, unconfirmed right now and should be considered a rumor. We reached out to Ubisoft about the report, but were told, "Ubisoft does not comment on rumors and speculation."
Assassin's Creed IV: Black Flag, released on Xbox 360, Xbox One, PlayStation 3, PlayStation 4, PC, and Wii U, is the most recent entry in the series. A new entry in the core series has been released every year since 2009, though Ubisoft has not announced a new game for 2014 yet.
