Nintendo's sales and marketing teams might soon take on a sunnier disposition, or at least find themselves in sunnier locales. Game Informer Online is reporting that Nintendo of America is planning to move its sales and marketing force out of the rainy Pacific Northwest, with San Francisco and New York listed as a pair of potential destinations.

The Web site attributed the news to "sources close to Game Informer Online" but did not specify their relationship to Nintendo. According to the site, employees at Nintendo's Redmond, Washington, headquarters were told the news yesterday. They were reportedly told to choose between relocating or accepting severance packages by the beginning of next month, with the new offices expected to open in the fall.

As of press time, a Nintendo representative had not yet returned GameSpot's request for comment.
