Gearbox and Gunfire Games have announced that Remnant 2 has a new update that adds loadouts, a limited-time Halloween event, and general fixes.

Players can now create their own preset gear loadouts and then recall them with a single button press. The loadouts include weapons, mods, mutators, archetypes, skills, relics, and fragments. Additionally, loadouts will save and recall Traits, but will only recall them if players have the Orb of Undoing in your inventory. Loadouts also cannot be accessed during the middle of combat.

Now Playing: Remnant 2 Video Review

Remnant 2's Halloween event runs from October 27-31, and it's called the Aberration Domination event. Players can collect elusive Corrupted Shards and go to the Dwell in Ward 13 to trade them in. In return, players can craft corrupted versions of certain weapons.

The update also has some general fixes, such as performance issues during some boss fights and solving issues with certain actions causing the game to crash. Furthermore, performing the evading action during a co-op session is now more responsive, and players will now join at or near a host's location instead of automatically starting in spectator mode, unless the host is in the middle of a boss fight or event region.

Remnant 2 is available for PC, PS5, and Xbox Series X|S. In GameSpot's Remnant 2 review, we said, "Remnant 2 is exactly what you want from a sequel, such is the way it expands and improves upon the first game's ideas. It's not likely to blow you away, but the core gameplay loop--built on rewarding combat, an ever-expanding repertoire of skills and abilities, and the randomness of its procedural generation--latches on and refuses to let go."
