Additionally, there is a new archetype called the Ritualist that specializes in status effects. More details about this new archetype will be revealed closer to the DLC's launch. Alongside the new area, there are also new weapons, items, and bosses to encounter.

Two more DLC updates will come in 2024 for a total of three updates altogether. A DLC bundle containing all three is available for $25 and will have access to The Awakened King when it launches later this month. Those who have purchased Remnant 2's Ultimate Edition will receive all of the DLC at no additional cost.

Remnant 2 recently received a patch that added loadouts to the game. In GameSpot's Remnant 2 review, we said, "Remnant 2 is exactly what you want from a sequel, such is the way it expands and improves upon the first game's ideas. It's not likely to blow you away, but the core gameplay loop--built on rewarding combat, an ever-expanding repertoire of skills and abilities, and the randomness of its procedural generation--latches on and refuses to let go."
