With Red Dead Redemption 2's online mode recently setting a new record, Rockstar announced plans to give away free content as a thank you. The developer has now announced what freebies players will be able to grab next.

Now through February 10, Rockstar is giving away a few items, including a free Bounty Hunter license that players can use to begin their journey as a bounty hunter. To help players on their way to tracking down criminals, Rockstar is also giving away 25 tracking arrows and 25 bolas, which are a thrown weapon that snags a target's legs, bringing them down. These gifts are available through the post office or in your lockbox at camp.

In addition to these freebies, Rockstar is discounting stable slots by 25 percent, while the Breton, Kladruber, Criollo, and Norfolk Roadster horses are available for 40 percent off. It's not all about horses, however, as Rockstar is also offering 40 percent off a handful of emotes, including I'm Watching You, Hat Tipping, Look to the Distance, and Hangover.

These offers are available across PS4, Xbox One, and PC, but PlayStation Plus members are getting even more bonuses. Subscribers get three Mash refills for Moonshiners, as well as three trader resupplies. Twitch Prime members, meanwhile, get their own exclusive benefits in the form of a collector's bag and the polished copper still upgrade for free when they link their Prime accounts to the Rockstar Social Club.

Red Dead Redemption 2 has been and continues to be a massive success. The online component reached a new peak player record in December, and then broke that record again in January 2020.

In other news, Red Dead Redemption 2 writer Dan Houser, who also co-founded Rockstar Games, is leaving the company in March. The share price of Rockstar's parent company, Take-Two, dropped off after the news came out.
