The event is dubbed the Red Bull Battlegrounds, and four players have already been confirmed through their performances at past Red Bull eSports events. The champions from the inaugural Red Bull Battlegrounds tournament in 2012--Jang Min "MC" Chul and WCS Season 2 champion Ji Sung "Bomber" Choi--will be joined by winners of this year's Red Bull Training Grounds events in Santa Monica and Orlando, Myeong Hwan "Golden" Jo and Jens "Snute" Aasgaar, respectively.

"I'm grateful for the opportunity to compete in the Red Bull Battlegrounds," said Aasgaar. "So far the lineup is very stacked, and it's going to be a good challenge for sure."

StarCraft caster and ringmaster Sean "Day9" Plott will be the host of the event, for both a live audience at the venue and the live stream for those watching at home. The two-day event will be broadcast on TwitchTV.

onGamers will be on hand to provide live coverage all weekend.
