Rebelstar: Tactical Command goes gold

Turn-based strategy game for the Game Boy Advance will hit stores in September.

Rebelstar: Tactical Command, Namco's new turn-based tactical strategy game, has gone gold and will be available for the Game Boy Advance next month. The game was developed by Codo Technologies, the company that is also behind the long-running X-Com series and, more recently, Laser Squad Nemesis.

Like its predecessors from Codo, Rebelstar pits a group of humans against evil aliens, this time in the form of a group of rebels defending Earth from the Arelian Empire in the year 2117. The turn-based engine features a true line-of-sight system and destructible environments, all set on a grid that should be easily recognizable to fans of Codo's other games. The game will include campaign, skirmish, hotseat, and link multiplayer modes.
