This bundle works a bit differently than the regular edition.

Ubisoft has brought back the Rainbow Six Siege Starter Edition. Originally released for a limited time in June on PC, the game returns today for computers, but only on Ubisoft's own Uplay service.

The Starter Edition comes with instant unlocks for two randomly selected operators from a pool that includes Rook, Sledge, Ash, Fuze, Mute, and Smoke. Ubisoft said these characters were chosen for the Starter Edition because they are "intuitive" for newcomers.

Players also get 600 R6 credits that they can spend to purchase two additional operators or in-game content. One thing to note is that the purchase price for new Operators, either in credits or Renown, is higher than if you owned the full-price game.

Additionally, Starter Edition users can access all of Siege's main modes, including PvP, Terrorist Hunt, and the single-player Situations. Everything else, including all the maps, weapons, and attachments, are available with the Starter Edition, while there is no level cap for Starter Edition players. Additionally, Starter Edition users will play on the same servers as everyone else.

This new Starter Edition will be available for a "limited time," but Ubisoft did not say when it will end. You can download Uplay here. The Starter Edition sells for $15.
