RadioShack will soon distribute Jamdat's mobile-phone content at retail locations, according to a statement released today. Jamdat has designed a retail system in which customers with compatible mobile phones can enter a RadioShack store and then download content through Jamdat's proprietary wireless system. Jamdat publishes a number of popular mobile-phone games, including multiplayer Bejeweled, Jamdat Sports NBA 2005, and Lemonade Tycoon. "This agreement with RadioShack...allows us to extend our reach through their vast retail presence," said Mitch Lasky, chairman and CEO of Jamdat Mobile. The program is expected to launch sometime during the first half of 2005. RadioShack has 6,874 stores across the US.
