After years of development, Alan Wake developer Remedy Entertainment's Quantum Break has finally arrived on Xbox One and PC. To mark the launch, Remedy released a new video in which creative director Sam Lake expressed his gratitude to fans, to Microsoft ("for trusting us with this crazy new vision"), and to the development team, which called a "stunningly talented group of people." Lake also thanked the team's families and loved ones for their support.

Check out the video below.

The game was originally intended to launch in 2015, but was pushed to 2016, a move that was Microsoft's decision and one that should ultimately benefit the game, Remedy has said.

One of the more unique elements of Quantum Break is that its story is told across the game and a companion TV show featuring X-Men's Shawn Ashmore and Dominic Monaghan from Lord of the Rings.

Quantum Break received a score of 6 in GameSpot's review, which said it can be interesting at times, but its impressive combat and great looks are hindered by a story with limited appeal and disappointing design choices.
