Developer NetherRealm has revealed Quan Chi as he latest character added to the Mortal Kombat X roster.
Quan Chi, a sorcerer, uses spells to create standard fireballs and another projectile that lures players in. His powers can also be used to summon beasts, but perhaps the most inventive application of his repertoire is using portals to punch people from distance.
In the video above, the project's executive producer Shaun Himmerick offers an outline of Quan Chi's powers.
Mortal Kombat X's release date is marked for April 14, 2015, with it set to ship on Xbox One, PS4, PS3, Xbox 360, and PC.
